GO GET STARTED
Many are times we think we are incompetent
or incapable of doing things, we look down on ourselves, like who are we to
attain or accomplish our goals and dreams, I say to you who are you not to. A poem
in a movie inspired me to write this article (Coach Carter; Our deepest fear)
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and
fabulous? Actually, who are you not to
be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There
is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure
around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest
the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in
everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence
automatically liberates others. By Marianne Williamson”
Some of us would have seen this poem before in books, movies
and so on, but it keeps elaborating the same point. Every line in the poem
talks about you with the questions ‘Who am I and who am I not to?’ To me, the
real question is who are you not to? Limitations are only set by us, telling
ourselves ‘I can’t do it, it’s impossible’ but deep inside we are limited by
the power of our tongues and mind set. Jamie Paolinetti an American pro
cyclist once said “Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our
imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”

As entrepreneurs at heart, we have to
understand that the journey starts when you are beyond impossibilities and it ends
when we are called achievers. We are bugged by the obstacles that befall us,
causing us to give up on our God giving rights due to lack of finances, criticism
from friends, family or the society, low self-esteem, and the best of it all ‘it’s
not the right time.’ All these negativities are placed in our mind by us to
keep us staying in the same position we are. Oh no! Not for us. We need to
break that wall filled with negativities, cross through the huddles filled with
obstacles and get to the finish line which is attaining our goal. I know what
is going through your mind right now is ‘what do I do?’ go get started. I challenge
you to go get started and see how far you would go from there. Start by
researching endlessly, get going with the paper work necessary, be theoretically
ready, and above all don’t leave God behind through every step you take. When you
get to that point you will be ready. Waiting won’t get you there; the world needs
me and you to make it a better place.
As kids either born rich or poor,
either born to serve others or to be served, we were all born to be successful.
Think deep and face the fears that deprive you of getting to your goals. I put
a lot of quotes in my articles because I want us to know these are not just my
words but also words of our mentors that have passed through this stage. “The
difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength,
not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. Vince Lombardi” You don’t
have to make millions to get to that point, you just have to get started. I implore
you to GO GET STARTED!
I am very glad to have come by your blog and i'm very motivated to GO GET STARTED. .....
